Welcome one and all

I have been planning to start this blog for longer than i can now remember and finally here it is. I plan to show images of my own and others that I find meaningful and interesting, funny, unusual and powerful. My commercial work combines Wedding and Portrait photography and specialist interactive VR Photography. However, my interests are much wider ranging. My personal work revolves around movement as you will see.

Lets start off with a few sample images:

This image is of Center Point, an office block in the West End of London, shot from the window of a moving cab at dusk. I had just finished shooting a wedding reception at The Ivy in Covent Garden. There was no evening reception so I had finished earlier than I am used to and was still in full on shooting mode, I just wasn't ready to put my camera down yet.

This is from a series I have started called Night Train. Surprisingly, it was shot from the window of a moving train! I travel in and out of London from Paddington and the journey offers a very varied landscape. including stretches of the Thames which brings me to my other visual insperation, Water. Watch this space!

This is probably my favorite image from last year. Using movement is a hit and miss process soemtimes and it's not often you get exactly what you had visualized. My new years resolution was to shoot more personal work and I am more or less keeping to it.

This image was shot in a forest in Oxfordshire. These works are based on the ideas of the expressionist painters, particularly Turner. I will upload some more next time. please feel free to comment.
